100 Meter Tie

On the left is English Gardner, she goes to University of Oregon but as a youth competed in the UAGTCA meets. She didn't make the team but she'll be back. In the middle is Allyson Felix and on the right is Jeneba Tarmoh. What happened is that the timing system clocked Jeneba as winning third place and a spot on the Olympic Team. The big dogs upstairs looked at the photo and thought it was a tie. So...after letting Jeneba take her victory lap they said oops, it's a tie. They had a choice of a run off on the following Monday but Jeneba dropped out and let Allyson take the spot. Jeneba is in the relay pool to run in London. Photo is thanks to Klotz Images.
