Hello P.A.C.E. Trek Supporters!
Most of you know that on Sunday, May 1, I completed P.A.C.E. Trek 2011. I covered 506 miles in 17 days of running – beginning at the Grand Canyon, traversing the Mojave Desert, and finishing at Badwater Basin, Death Valley. I became the first person to run that route solo and unsupported. It was an incredibly difficult trek and one that I will be healing from for a couple of weeks. There are still many student teams logging miles for P.A.C.E. Trek 2011 because several schools had spring break occur during the event. Currently, the school teams from 9 countries have recorded 53,475 miles at the www.pacetrek.com/mojave web site.
